private healthcare is illegal. The idea is by banning private h.c. you prevent a "two tier" system" where rich get excellent care and poor get none. Instead we all get what we need more or less when we need it.

Overall, I'd rate our health as good to very good.

If you mean health care compared to the US, I'd say what I tell all Americans: You'd have "free" health care, too, if your taxes were  up to 50%.
