  1. It took me a couple days to get used to my high school.  I've had sophomores, juniors, and even seniors in my gym class when I was a freshman.  As for your lunch hour, make some new friends.  If you're dependent on seeing 1 or 2 of your friends from middle school at your high school during lunch, then I gotta say, It's a bit hard.  There are many kids in high school, and chances are that you may not even have the same classes as your friends.  You will meet possibly hundreds of kids in high school, and if you can't make at least a couple friends, then you have a problem.  With that being said, don't worry too much =).

  2. high school isnt that bad. it didnt take me that long to get used to it at all. we had 4 different lunches and every single semester i had at least 3 friends in the same luch as me. there is a chance you will have classes with older kids. i was a senior and i was in a class with freshmen and sophmores.

  3. It takes about the same amount of time to get use to the school as in middle school. Depending on the school, you may or may not have sophmores in your gym class. Your friends can schedule their lunch time so they're at the same time as you if you wish.

  4. My high school's classroom numbering system wasn't in numerical order, if that makes any sense. It took me a couple weeks to get used to my schedule. I would hope your school would make more sense. Here is what I would do on the first day...

    1. Get there early. Call a friend the night before and meet up with them.

    2. Find out where to get your locker number, code, and schedule. Once you do this, go on a dry run to your locker and each classroom. You might even get to meet you teachers early, which is always nice.

    3. At lunch, usually the kids in the same grade eat together. Meet up with your friend again and then go make some new ones!

    4. Gym classes are all different. Most of the time you will be with other freshman...unless someone has to repeat PE!

    Most of all have fun!

  5. It's really not hard to find your classes and rooms.  It will take your a few days, but pretty soon you will memorize where your classes are. Teachers are usually lenient, so don't sweat it.

If your high school offers a freshmen orientation, I suggest attending that.

As for gym,  well at least for my school, classes are usually made up of al freshmen or sophomores. However, there could be freshman and sophomore classes in the same period.

And yes, you will have friends in your lunch period, ones that you knew before or the ones that you are going to make.

  6. Schools are of different sizes and therefore it takes different amounts of time to learn the locations of classrooms. In any case it should not take more that a few days. There will be aides and teachers in the halls to help direct you in the first few days of school.

You very well may have friends in your lunch period, if not you will make friends./
