  2. Probably about the same as in my hometown.

    Our homeschool is directed by my husband, my son (the student) and me.     There are many homeschoolers in our area and they all homeschool in their own way.

    It is not like public school where you need to follow someone else's agenda.  It is homeschool.  It gives you freedom to learn what you want to learn , in the way you want to learn, at the pace you want to learn.

  3. Well, Jacksonville is HUGE so you'd have to make an effort to meet people.Homeschooling in Jax seems mostly to be religious. Jacksonville has some great schools & some horrible schools. It also has a great magnet school program you might want to check into--but be warned--the bus ride (or commute) to schools outside your neighborhood can be LOOONG.
