  1. The basic structure of the DNA is not different at all...a sugar-phosphate backbone with purine and pyrimidine bases hooking the sense and anti-sense strands together.  What is different are the number of chromosomes, the genes that are encoded or not encoded in the DNA (fish have genes for gills, humans don't).
