  2. There are many ways to do it , but the most common are to use hydrogen gas that is either compressed to very high pressure or cooled enough to liquefy. Both ways are expensive and dangerous. It can take 50% of the btu content just to store it.  The other common way is to use a hydrocarbon liquid, like alcohol or gasoline, and either designe fuel cells that can use it directly, or remove the carbon just before use.  Virtually all fuel hybrogen is made from natural gas.
