  1. Theyre all allowed to LIVE as one people under him.

  2. Either the same background or the business end of a rifle

  3. agree with most of the answers below - he offers them a life - albeit c**p - with a reduced risk of being beaten - some lucky ones will get stolen land to grow weeds on and continue to beat the rest of the population into constant submission.

I would never advocate popular uprising - only because i would be too chicken - but i pray and hope that mugabe dies very soon, so that he can end up in h**l were he belongs - evil man!

  4. He offers them the opportunity not to be tortured and brutally murdered.

    That, and food.

Perhaps Gordon Brown should consider this approach.

  5. His supporters exist because of their fear of him and they realise the game is survival of the fittest.

He offers them one right, the only right, as human rights do not exist there, which is the right to live, whether it is to live in hunger, poverty or a harsh economy of 2 million percent inflation; he does not really care, and in a way its not totally his supporters fault they have become so brainwashed by him and have done awful things to their own nation.

By the way freedom does not exist, everyone lives in fear whether they are a supporter or not.  And as for tribes, yes there are two tribes, but some of his tribe are opposing him, they have woken up smelt the coffee and are risking the only right they have left and that is to live.

All thats left is hope for the rest of the world to help and for u and me to pray for this terrible game of Mugabe's to end before its too late.

  6. Repossessed white land and freshly printed dollars, combined with the dangers of being an opponent.

Tribe has nothing to do with it.

  7. He offers them power, and freedom. Anyone who plays a big part in his current regime needs to keep him in  power. If smeone else gets in, they will be out of a job, and possibly going to prison for taking part in the various atrocities that the Mugabe regime has taken part in.

  8. Mugabe himself offers them nothing,  it is the people that surround Mugabe his advisers and other heavies from the same tribe as Mugabe who are causing the trouble the majority of those who do the killing are policemen and soldiers in civilian clothes. Mugabe is a puppet the country is run by the military who are trained and armed by the Chinese who have a long history in treating dissent in China and Tibet

  9. He's a hero to them. Firstly, he saved them from the corrupt system where the white minority had all the power, and repossessed their land. The education system there is all about how great Mugabe is, and he has hundreds of 'youth' organisations.

But the main thing is food. Bread now costs 1/4 of the monthly salary of the average Zimbabwean. He gives out free food to supporters, like the 22 year old 'veterans' of a war that happened 25 years ago.

  10. Protection and the ability to kill without regard for human rights. It is sad that no one has taken a gun and assassinated this despot. He reminds me so much of Hitler and Stalin whose reign of terror could have been cut short if someone had taken action.

  11. land which they don't work as they do not have the skills or machinery and they get the food aid meant for the nation...so of course they will support him..also are not educated and belive everything he says..they truly believe that Britian wants to take their country..these are people who have not been to school or travelled..so to them having been under the British before truly belive it as it has happened before in their lifetime...they are easy to con....

  12. Im sure at one time he was a good man.  He free'd Zimbabwe from us brits and they probably remember that.

Also, If you support him then there is less chance you will be attacked

  13. All from same tribe.

  14. The people who vote for him get fuel, food, land etc. Those that don't lose their food, fuel, land etc. Simple really. He offers them power, and property, and dominance over other people. That's always going to tempt some people, the rest are just scared that they will be killed or will lose their family if they do not support him publically.

  15. He offers them the chance not to be beaten, driven from their homes, shot at,your livestock taken and thrown into poverty,,he offers all that in return for loyalty
