How is it fair that uppermiddle class families have higher taxes then middle lower class familes?

That's the nature of progressive tax systems.

If you want to change it, start writing Senators and Representatives and push for a flat tax.

There is nothing wrong with having what you earn.  However, I would suggest that "to whom much is given, much is expected."  But the question lacks fundamental premise of percentage, or actual amount.  In either case, the more money one earns, the more discretion and flexibility one has with spending.  

And speaking of college, shouldn't it be available to everyone who a) wants to go to college, and b) is qualified to be there?

Its fair, anyone driving around in a nice car, with a nice house has stepped on the little people to get to where they need to be. Its about time that this is happening & I love it. Obama all the way!

Yes, it is what I want. Makje them get financial aid from a Pell Grant just like I did. Maybe eat some ramen noodles or macaroni & cheese for dinner. Live in debt up to your eyeballs with your nice house & be "rich poor" When Obama is president, things are going to change for the better & this is just what we need. Bush was the worst president in history & we need someone to undo all the corruption he put on our country.

The FairTax is the most fair. It is easier on the poor than the flat tax, but still boosts the economy enormously.

Its a 23% sales tax on EVERYTHING. You get a rebate based on the size of your family ($100s a month). For poor people, that rebate covers all of their taxes. For rich people, that rebate covers very little of their taxes.

Plus, it helps with the immigration problem. You have to be legal to get the rebate. But, they still pay the taxes.

Obama lovers should just move to canada and let us have our freedom.

It is not fair to Tax Wealthier people a higher percentage rate then that of less wealthy people. I grew up in a poor neighborhood, my parents were always broke and still are as were all of the people that lived around me. Most poor people are just bitter and angry because they haven't figured out what I figured out. Life isn't that d**n hard. Stop sulking and get your *** up and do something. Obama stands for everything that is WRONG with this country. He wants to take Rich People's money and give it to lazy, uneducated, poor people.

By the way, that isn't going to happen. You will see what Obama's real plan for OUR money is. By OUR money, I mean AMERICAS TAX DOLLARS. What I realized is that if you stop working for someone else and Start your own business, you can get out from under the Governments thumb. Rich people didn't have to step on anyone to get rich, they just firgured out how to make money work for them instead of them working for money. Think about it. I started my company when I was 24, with no money, no car, bad credit, two kids and a wife. Two years later, I am debt free and working on starting 3 more companies. That is what is great about the America I know and Love. I couldn't have done it anywhere else.

So, I think it is wrong that Poor people think they are owed something because they don't have what another person has. Everyone here has the same opportunity, GET UP AND GET SOME!!
