  1. its nothing special

  2. People generally keep to themselves unless you start a conversation, so mainly it is what you make of it. Gets boring though. The airline can make a big difference. British Air is good. United is lousy. Air New Zealand is so so.

  3. It won't be bad at all. That is a long flight to start off with but if you bring plenty of things to keep you comfortable it will be no problem. The only things that may make you a little nervous are when the plane is taking off and landing but other than that everything in between is very smooth. Make sure to bring some gum along to help adjust your ears to altitude changes at the beginning and end of the flight. That certainly helps a lot. :)

  4. Well i never flew by myself, cause i was always with my mom and brother. i would be kinda nervous too, like to find the gate. you wouldn't want to go into the wrong flight. oops =]

  5. i would say its exciting, but thats a long trip so you might get bord

  6. My first flight alone was from the US to Amsterdam.  I was 16 and really scared!  Don't worry about finding the gate! There are lots of signs everywhere, and it's not uncommon for people to still get lost in airports.  An airport employee should be able to help you get to the right gate if you can't find it yourself.

    Have fun!

  7. exciting if its first time, boring every next time
