How is it in nova scotia?

Im going on a carnival cruise to nova scotia at like the end of august; and i was wondering how the weather is there? Also what should i expect when i go on the cruise. What should i bring and everything?

Where are you from?  I'm from the south and went to Nova Scotia in June.  I was wearing jeans and long sleeve shirts.  I thought it was quite chilly.

And lots and lots of fog.  We took this scenic drive that was suppose to be the prettiest drive in Nova Scotia but you couldn't see anything.

What cruise line are you going on?  What do you enjoy?  Bring good hiking clothing.  Bring a mix of layers.  Jeans, shorts, tshirts, zipper jackets to layer.  That way you can take things on and off as the day warms.  You'll dress up a little at night so no tank tops and no shorts, but people will dress up a bit.  As for what to bring, check out the company website.  They usually answer that question very well and the shore excursions you are interested in decide the rest.  If you are going snorkeling in the Caribbean, you may want to bring your own gear.  If you are going hiking, better shoes than flip flops.

Nova Scotia is amazing. I'm from Toronto but go to school in Halifax. If you are going in August you can expect it to be mostly warm, but down by the water it will be cool. I would have normal summer clothes, but ensure you have some longer pants/shirts and a light jacket for the wind. The harbour front is a great place to walk around in the summer. If you're looking for some nice restaurants for dinner Ryan Duffy's is an amazing place for steak. Salty's is good (upstairs) for seafood. and there's plenty o f smaller places that are great if you aren't looking for a place as nice.
