  1. It depends on the school.  It depends on your gender.  It depends on your City and State.

Some schools allow the Seniors to abuse the Freshmen.  Some schools allow all the grades to abuse the Freshmen.

The Freshmen are still animals ( Middle School is like being trapped in a Zoo).  So they do need to adjust.  At the start of the year some of the Sophomore will be acting crazy like the Freshmen as they see how they started school happen all over again.

The Juniors are the most level headed people you can find.  This is based on High Schools with 4 grades.  If you want something to calm you down, focus on the Juniors.

I don't know if you have worked with a Schedule before, but you will likely not have sufficient time to do everything you want/need between classes.  So get ready to set things up to rush through your locker and conveniently get things.  Lockers can be tricky.

Never accept Milk or anything else parishable from another person for the first quarter of the school year.

Sitting close to the door or window may be smart because pranks, fights, fires, and emergencies call for you to be by these and at the start of the year there is a high rate ( other points are around Halloween, around Valentines, and the end of the school year).

  2. Well being a freshmen is almost like 8th grade. Besides everything you didnt notice then.... you will start to notice it now.

Example: How really bad kids are, diversity etc....

A little more freedom in high school, but not much. Most high schools also has a better variety of lunch.

  4. Don't worry. Of course everyone's nervous about the first day of high school especially if you don't know anyone. But you'll make friends. The first few days will be weird and nerve-wrecking. Just talk to everyone, get to know everyone's names and take chances to talk to people, like if they sit next to you in a class or something. Don't worry, it's only like that for the first and second week.

  5. Going to high school is a BIG change, I won't lie to you.  But you have to make the best of it.  Not knowing anyone is tough and itt is challenging to get the courage to make new friends, but it is easier than you think!  All it takes is a conversation.  Most of myhigh schooll friends I never knew and we just started talking one day, then we started sitting together at lunch and in classes.  It takes time to adjust, but you will make it through!  Don't be afraid to ask questions and just be yourself.  Never take hurtful things people say to you to heart- they have no idea who you really are and have no room to tell you anything to hurt you.

Again, it's just making adjustments.  Once you get through your first week it will be much easier and you will see that all the nervousness was nothing to worry about!  Good luck to you, and I hope you have a wonderful high school career!
