How is it like working for Genzyme in Mass??

I would like to know how Genzyme treats its employees and what to expect if called for an interview.

It's a great company.  I was an intern for four summers while I was an undergrad, and I loved it.  They treat their employees a lot better than some places I've been.   The people themselves are great too (at least the ones that I worked with).  Academic labs tend to be fairly insular - most people tend not to look up from their own projects - but at Genzyme, it was more like one giant team.  I'm currently working at a small biotech company in Boston, and I absolutely love it.  Genzyme would be my next choice, though..

    I don't think that a Genzyme interview would be any different than any other biotech interview.  I only interviewed as an intern, so my experiences were probably a little different.  At the other biotech companies I interviewed with, I focused on on skills, lab experience, and on teamwork.  In the current market, jobs are in pretty high demand, and Genzyme can afford to be choosy.  Be sure to study up, know something about the company's products (especially if you know which lab you'll be interviewing with), and have everything in order.  Best of luck!
