How is it possible for Bill Kaulitz to sound like this?

Question

look up monsoon on youtube.. it sounds good but how is it possible?

did he have surgery?

is it a rare condition he is born with?

maybe he is just a really good singer.? but when guys sing higher or when girls sing lower you can still tell what gender they are. also "monsoon" has a lower octave and he still sounds like a girl.

I'm not hating on him I just want to know how this is possible

Bill had to undergo surgery to remove a cyst that developed on his vocal chords. Here is an article with more:

"Tokio Hotel have been forced to cancel their sold-out European tour because singer Bill Kaulitz has a cyst on his vocal cords, reports People.com. He has to get it surgically removed this week, then spend weeks recovering (no singing!). This issue "requires swift surgery or his voice could be at risk for permanent damage," said Tokio Hotel spokesman Stephan Henckel. Dates in Italy, Sweden, Slovenia, Serbia, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Germany have been affected."

He had it removed and now can sing normally again! I really do not think he sounds like a girl so I do not know what you are talking about with that, but.....now after the surgery you can hear he has A BIT of difficulty with his voice every once in a while.

Bill is just naturally a good singer. They have been singing and performing for a long time, so the experience helps.

Oh I am sorry :)  well honestly, I could not tell you. Like in performances and stuff he does not sound like that. It could be some effects used in the studio? That would be my best guess. I have never seen anything on it.

im not sure i love him so much though, i love bill, he can sing really well and i like monsoon, its a good song ^_^ i like the way he sings, anyway is good with me = ) <3

I think that he's still using his chest voice for the high part, instead of his head voice.
