How is it possible for a 17 year old to organize a charity concert?

The concert that I want to organize would be for a good cause, like cancer, and the money would be donated to a research hospital or something alike. How are concerts even started, the sponsers and expenses??

u r indeed very new in this game.  if u wanna invite celebrities u hv to pay.  they seldom come free unless they themselves initiate the event.  so in this case, they will ask for some $$$.  

u can approach an events management company.  

such concerts must really be big to attract the crowd and make the $$$.  u must be bold, brave and hv guts and u need some form of $$$ upfront for certain expenses.  it may run fr $5K to $15K.  unless u can get a sponsor for it.   many sponsors want to participate but they want max exposure for themselves eg coke.
