How is it possible for the average annual earnings of nonunionized workers to exceed those of unionized worker

  1. A boss that knows how to keep good workers.


  2. There is a big difference between the average and the median.  When a few non-unionized workers get paid tens and even hundreds of millions of dollars.  Then this raises the average far above what most non-unionized workers get paid.

    Last year the average salary of a non-unionized CEO was 364 times the average salary of the common non-unionized worker.   Which is down from an all time record of 525 times set in 2000.

    Also, Hedge Fund Managers who also are non-unionized employees often get paid even more than CEO's.  Some of them earn several billion dollars a year.  Which skews the average earnings of non-unionized workers by a huge amount.
