How is it possible to write and direct your own film script?

i'm wondering how it may be possible because i have always wanted to do screenwriting but i think it would be even better if i could direct my own script...how is this possible

easy just write out ur film script and them atfer u edit it just get some ppl and direct them and now u have a flim there u go thats possible

Well im a media student a i recently made a short film

that i wrote and directed myself,

they say its best to write about what you known for an start plus some say that its better if you have the talents to write and direct because then it gets made exaclty how you orginally planned.

Theres alot of people who write and direct there films

such as Tim Burton, Quentin Tarrentino and Robert Rodiguiez to name a few

its possible, i am doing it right now, all you need is a few people and a camera. Look at people like Quentin Tarantino and especially Robert Rodriguez. Rodriguez has an autobiography called "Rebel Without a Crew" and its one of the best books ive read. He wrote it during the time he filmed and attempted to distribute his movie "El Mariachi" which he wrote, shot, edited, and produced for $7,000. He has a segment in the back called "10 minute film school" where he reveals tricks and tips for writing your own screenplay, and doing everything yourself for really cheap. you can read the 10 minute film school here.

I have written about 15 short stories. Chris when I'm writing my stories essentially, I'm directing because I'm creating the atmosphere, the people and surroundings so I'd say "Yes." When you describe you are directing.

Give your script to a literary agent. Get it approved, they'll make producers contact you, and you get to direct your movie!..

Not only is it entirely possible,it's dome more often than you might think,especially when the director has a clear vision of what he/she wants to express cinematicly. Quentin Tarruntino for example,did it with"Kill Bill 1/2 and that's just one of the many times it's been done
