Denny was way back when the wreck happened then he comes trying to drive through Dale Jr"s car. Why could he not have stopped? He had more time than anybody else.

  1. Bobby Labonte was the one that ran into the back of Jr. Quit making excuses for him each week, it sounds desperate. He will win soon enough if he is that good. Dover is a tight track this sort of thing happens all the time and it's not Joe Gibb's fault for everything that is wrong in NASCAR

  2. no one else is blaming any drivers for their favorite being taken out. so why are you? it's just bad luck at a tight track.

  3. How is it that Denny Hamlin couldn't come to pit road when he lost a tire at Richmond.  Denny is starting to prove what I have long thought about him.  He's about as smart as a mound of dirt.

He certainly doesn't think out on the track.  He's proven it at least two times this year.

Maybe his spotter told him he wouldn't be able to miss it anyway, Jr was up ahead, and just to keep on trucking into Jr.

  4. The track is just to tight and there is a blind corner coming off of turn 2. I think that no one got slowed down in time, or expected the drivers to slide to the bottom. It was not just Denny involved, and the track was blocked so it turned into a demolition derby and took out some top  contenders

  5. I would say is that it is much more the spotter's fault than it is Denny's, in that particular incident.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  6. He did come in fast. He applogized for it. I seriously don't think he wanted to hit him that hard on purpose

  7. that is a blind turn. i wuz there. everyone came around the turn and wuz lyke woah! he probably just wuznt prepared to have to dodge all that traffic. the whole lane wuz blocked. no one wuz goin thru.

  8. Him and JJ Yeley went to the same driving school.

  9. They asked him that and he thought he was going to be able to get by on the top so he tried to blow by.   By the time he figured out he couldn't it was to late.  He did apologized for it and got a DNF because of it.

  10. Bottom line is bad spotters.

  11. it was actually bobby labonte who hit junior, hamlin missed him up high

  12. Not everyone slowed down. Sure Denny may have hit the hardest, but he was trying to use the top line, it never cleared and he slammed on the brakes. It obviously to late. It's more the slow spotter's fault than Denny's.

  13. They said on NASCAR Now that Denny had his tires locked up when he hit Sadler, and I just took a look at the tape again. Denny DID have his tires locked, so he was definitely trying to stop. He probably thought he was going to be able to get through it, but once he got around the corner and saw exactly where the wreck still was, he just jammed on the breaks. There really wasn't much he could do.

  14. a drivers instinct is not to stop..i think denny thought he might make it through the high line as all cars should have self cleaned to the bottom of the track.. he may have gassed it to squeeze through the high line then saw he couldnt make it and BAM!

  15. One problem is the field isnt really frozen at the time the caution comes out.  If you get thru the wreck faster, you can gain spots.  Matt Kenseth is always bitchin' on his scanner about this.  In fact, Harvick got past him that way at Martinsville once.  He protested the position with Nascar and lost.

  16. He stores the cement blocks he throws under the brake pedal.

  17. Actually not everyone was able to slow down. I mean his teammate Tony Stewart tried to slow down and look what happened to him. I case you have not noticed those cars go over 150 miles per hour and you know what, they don't stop on a dime!

  18. because it was a blind turn and his spotter was probably a little slower at getting the news to denny than some of the other spotters.  or maybe some of the other drivers were looking a little farther ahead than denny, who might have been focusing closer for any number of reasons...

he did come in awfully fast, but bill elliot and others were plowing in pretty good even after hamlin, so he didn't necessarily have more time than anyone else.  it was a big mess and a big shame.  had that not happened, the race probably wouldn't have been so dull.

  19. im a bit angry with some of these answers, like he did it on purpose, like denny was thinking ooh ooh i want a DNF  oh yes i just dropped down 2 spots in the point standings yes!

and yeah hes real stupid for not letting a little twurp get away with hitting him during a caution, by doing that your IQ  will automaticly drop to 0

  20. After watching this on Wind tunnel last night I will admit Denny came in harder then anyone but there were several drivers that were not able to slow down.  Harvick was still off turn four and couldn't slow down as well as Bill Elliott.  Yes he came in hotter then most involved but in no way was the only one that couldn't get their car stopped.  And Harvick had more time because he hit Denny after Denny already clipped Sadler.
