  2. This is getting ridiculous.  As noted above, this question has been asked a LOT already.  How is it possible that there are this many baseball fans who are unaware of the concept of waivers?  

    I'll answer it even though it's been answered many times:  If a team puts a player on waivers and no team claims him after a period of time, the player can still be traded after the deadline.
