How is it that all counties have a national anthem and a flag? Who 1st decided that this should be a practice?

  1. Actually the US didn't even have an anthem until 1931, 155 years after it was founded. Flags are holdovers from banners identifying different units or countries  during battle and perpetuated by banners and flags identifying the local lord or allegiance of cities or countries. It's kind of a pre-literate 'this is who you'll have to mess with if you mess with me' thing.


  2. Because all countries are showing us how their cultures are and how important their lives are.

    EX:

    China, anthem made in war against Japan, saying we should fight for freedom, flag was made because of red luck and stars representing our community.

    USA, 13 stripes represented our 13 colonies back then and stars now represents the 50 states, anthem...I have no idea.
