How is it that those who are responsible and pay for car insurance, end up paying for those who are not?

Hit and run car accidents-the other driver takes off, you end up paying the deductible, which is usually $500 or more, you've got to pay for all or part of the rental and your insurance goes up, for an accident you didn't cause.A few months down the road you get a letter in the mail from the detective who "worked" your case, saying that the case is closed, regardless of the fact that you got the license number, excellent description of the car and driver.

  2. I wish my advice could be helpful. And here is a good resource.Check it up.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

  3. It works the same way as welfare. We work, but still wind up paying for those who choose not to work.

A site I've recommended in the past would be...

    http://www.safelinked.info/go.php?link=i...

    Hope that helps.

  4. For automobile insurance the obvious way to get a great quote is do a policy comparison on car policies. Make sure that you pick similar policies with the same limits, car type, zip code, etc so that all options are a good comparison.

What I usually recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have top name insurers and will give multiple quotes on car insurance polices.

  5. Actually, your insurance should not go up.  Normal underwriting procedures state that you must be 51% or more at fault for an accident for it to affect your premium.

As for paying for the others, we do that in everything, not only insurance.  Your paying for the single mother with 3 kids & pregnant collecting welfare...your also paying for the senator that has to have a granite desk or marble bathroom.  It's not going to change any time soon, so we just deal with it!!

  6. Sadly we "reward" the irresponsible people in our society.

    Good Luck...

  7. Insurance is a near perfect example of SOCIALISM.  We pay for those that are irresponsible.  What you say is absolutely true and that is why I try to vote for politicians who are conservative and may be more apt to vote for laws that favor the "givers" in our society and condone the "takers".    USA.... Watch out if Obammamamma is elected.  You will see more socialism than  anyone cares to think about.

Sigh, and the people who want "change" are going to get more "change"  than they ever bargained for.   The only thing you may want to consider is to buy a lower collision/comprehensive deductible.

  8. because the responsible people always end up paying for those who are not responsible...in every aspect of life!!

I work hard in order for someone else to sit at home on their backside, watch TV, and produce copious amounts of children (who i will also foot the bill for).

thanks or that Q...i needed to vent!!!
