Give me a good reason how we could find a man hidden underground in the country Iraq within weeks, but we still haven't found a man hidden in the mountains of Afganistan/Pakistan for the last 7 years.

  1. The news media didn't tell the world how we were tracking Hussein.

  2. the population in Urban Iraq Vs Rural Afghanistan makes it more realistic to get good intelligence

    More people = More Contacts

  3. Hey, hey, hey.  Bush still needs a boogeyman if he is to scare us into voting Republican again.

So its either bin Laden or g*y people; and what would become of fashion if we locked up g*y people?

  4. Bin Laden is good friends with the Bush family.

  5. it aint over til a fat woman sings ya know...

  6. Realistically, no political BS?

All the Allied powers worked together in a concerted long-term attempted to capture Adolph Hitler, arguably a far worse mass murderer than Bin Laden and Hussein combined, for almost a decade. Hitler was never captured, his body has never been found.

Before Mullah Omar was captured, Bush's political opponents held up the "failure" to capture him as "proof" of the administration's supposed duplicity and incompetence. After Mullah Omar was captured, those some people claimed that not finding Saddam Hussein was more proof. Now that Hussein has been captured, the claim is that not finding Bin Laden yet again "proves" some sinister cabal is at work.

The reality is that Americans expect a quick-fix resolution to almost everything, from weight loss to capturing missing criminals, and become quite agitated when that doesn't happen in time for the evening TV entertainment wrap-up.

BTW, it didn't take "weeks" to find Hussein. The US ground invasion of Iraq began March 20, 2003; Saddam Hussein was captured on December 13, 2003 - almost eight months after the war began. Hussein's trial and subsequent execution took over three more years after that. Please keep facts straight in your questions.

  7. Who says Bin laden is in Afghanistan or in Pakistan. I strongly believe that he is us custody somewhere. and bush team will use him when they want.

or my 2nd theory is bin laden is a loyal agent.

  8. Because there was only one of them in that hole in the ground .

  9. well bin laden is a Multi Millionaire for starters. do the math after that.

  10. Because Bin Ladan has a friend named George and Saddam didn't

  11. i honestly think that some one is hiding him ,, or better yet already dead,, but there are lots of tiny small caved in the mountains ,,

  12. Hussein had a lot of enemies and he was always in the public eye before we attacked, so it was easier to track him down. People ratted him out. Bin Laden was (and is) always in hiding and only surrounded himself with people he trusted.

  13. The Bush and Bin Ladin familes are old friends. Remember 9/11 when only the Bush, Cheney, and Bin Ladin families were allowed to fly the day of. Clearly the Bin Ladin family could make a call to the President even in the middle of a national crisis. But there is so much more.

As someone else mentioned Bush has found a free Bin Ladin very useful.

  14. Because we were never serious about finding OBL.  We sent only 10,000 to look for him, and over 150,000 to look for Saddam.

    Funny how that happened, huh?

  15. Hussien was turned in, Bin Laden is in Pakistan and were supposed to be believing the Pakistani's are looking for him were not allowed in Pakistan to search, However you can bet your life we have realtime satelite's watching for him and were monitoring all communications, however he knows that and uses couriers to hand carry messages instead.

  16. Finding bad guys is harder than it is on TV
