How is it that women who have miscarried get pregnant like four or five days after the miscarriage??

I was just curious how this was possible. As some of you may know Ive asked a couple question lately on miscarrying because I just had one. Recently I was at my husbands company function and his helpers g/f told me that she had a miscarriage in may and got pregnant four days later and I was wondering if this really happens and if it does how??

Okay, it is possible, although it depends on how far along and the amount of HCG left in the bloodstream. After a certain point, the amount of HCG is too high to support a new pregnancy. However, if you ovulate and do a baby dance in a certain window, once the hcg levels are lower, it can switch over to a new pregnancy as all the proper hormones are there. However, most times the window is too great, and it's unlikely to happen. Good luck!

i dont know but im sure going to try and hope i get pregnant that soon after mine too. I want a baby so bad.

This is how it's possible because it just happened to me.

I miscarried on the 8th of August- HOWEVER- the baby stopped forming around the 1rst. I just stopped bleeding but learned today that not only am I ovulating - only 12 days later- but that I have a perfect size follicle too. (Confirmed via ultrasound)

It's possible if she had a 'missed miscarriage' and didn't start bleeding until after the baby had stopped developing.

I was just googling this topic because I had NO idea it was even possible until they told me about it today.

Oh yeah- I wanted to add that on the 8th my HCG had fallen all the way back down to 11 at that point. I am 100% positive I am ovulating today. If I were to get pregnant today- that will make it only 5 days from the date of my miscarriage that I conceived. (Which is completely possible because I have a 22mm follicle AND I'm ovulating!)

its impossible you cant get pregnant while you have HCG in your body following a miscarriage you can ovulate 14 days after a miscarriage and be pregnant the next month but not in a few days

After a miscarriage, you ovulate as soon as your body feels healed.  However, she may mean that she got pregnant that cycle, but ovulated 2 weeks after that date since they date pregnancy week 1 as the first day of your last menstrual period.  Good luck to you!

I read somewhere after I had my miscarriage that it's easier to get pregnant after you have a miscarriage because your body's hormones are already prepared for a baby.. didn't work for me, but you could try. :)
