Is it just airbourne or does it also get on the surrounding surfaces? Say for instance you had a puppy that had kennel cough. That puppy was removed from the area and a new dog was put into that area. Could the new dog get kennel cough?

  1. ~ kennel cough is close to the human flu. It is airborn and very contagious. The new dog can catch it even tho the other dog is removed unless every thing is cleaned throughly.

  2. Yes it is airborne. And in the situation you described - the answer is also yes. Hope this helps!

  4. its airborne, and maybe not not as bad of a chance, if you leave your dog a vet would be a good option for long vications, you can have a neighbor feed your dog at your house

  5. The answer is yes to both your questions.

Even with a Kennel Cough vaccination dogs can still catch it, though there is a lower chance of it doing so.

My dog hates it when they squeeze the liquid up his noes, but i would prefer him going through that than increasing his risk of having it. I know dogs that have had it and they suffered badly from it and they didn't have the vaccination, my boy was around then and he was fine.
