  1. I was an Air Force wife for 20 + years.  He didn't deploy that often and the longest he was ever gone was around 6 months.

  2. It's not bad. AF doesn't really deploy too often, they usually just transfer to another base and are able to take spouses with them.

The only time you will not be able to see him is if he has to go somewhere else for training or for a specific operation where he can not take his spouse.

Both of these are usually short and not very frequent.

I would think that you would enjoy being and AF spouse.

  3. my husband is home for dinner..sometimes we dont eat until 8 because he gets home so freakin late....as a younger enlisted person his hours were pretty much normal...whether it was first shift or second...but now that he has climbed the rank pole..its a lot more added responsibility and stress on him and me...but its not hard as long as you have a life that has nothing to do with him being in the air force..you try to live your life around other spouses of military members that he works with soon everyone knows your business..tends to make it hard at work for your husband etc...other than that its not hard..
