When my parents were deciding where to immigrate to, they settled on Canada and Australia. In the end, we wound up in Canada. I've always wondered what my life if I lived in Australia.

  1. I image life is good no matter where you live if you've got the money to do as you wish and or fits your desired life style. On the other hand if you don't then it can be pretty miserable if your income is below average and you struggling to make ends meet. Now, as far as the climate goes it's pretty good in some areas and very hot in others depending on where you live. As far as people go, that all depends on the individual and how you are able to interact with others. As for civil rights and personal freedoms I would say that life in Australia is pretty good. In many instances, life is what is you make it. Some people have everything and are not happy. Other people live simple yet very fulfilling lives are both satisfied and happy.

  2. Life in Australia is awesome! It's generally quite warm, lots of beautiful beaches, easy-going friendly people, lots of sports and a quirky sense of humour.  I haven't been to Canada before but I'm guessing it's pretty similar in lots of ways.

  3. Australia has a very relaxed style of living.

Personally I don't think your life would have been any different to living in Canada because your life and experiences are with your family.

  4. Culturally Oz and Canada aren't hugely different, but obviously the big difference is the climate. Australia is a really great place to live.
