How is living in Cheshunt, UK ? Is crime high in the town?

My office is moved to Cheshunt area. I would like to rent a house in Cheshunt or Waltham Cross. Some one said that the crime is high in Cheshunt. Any suggestions from the people who lives there or know the area ? How are the children education facilities?

are you crazy???? u dont want to live in Cheshunt!!!!! it's the rubbish bin of australia..... cats fighting cats..... dogs barking at other dogs..... i even saw a child run across the street once
