How is man both an individual and social being?

We function as individuals by meeting our own needs, pursuing our own goals. There are a lot of things we do by ourselves, in our own minds. But as social beings, we need the interaction of others. We respond to what others do & say. It doesn't mean that we have split personalities. It is just another demension of our personality.

We are all individuals and unique in our  own right. Men do become an individual to themselves when it comes to communication and understanding. Men do go through life living for the moment and hardly contrubitue their feelings when asked,and often this causes much heartache and hurt, resulting in alot of societys major problems.

mAn is a social being because we live with other people. we associate our relationship with other because no man can stand all alone. he have to mingle with other people to satisfy their social needs.

We are all individuals and many people have dual personalities.  So in one situation you can be very outgoing and social.  But you may really prefer to be alone and some what anti- social.  It depends on where you are on the path way of life.

We are all individual.  There is no human duplications in nature; including identical twins.  As far as being a social being, there are a few individuals in our global population who seek seclusion, and reclusion, but as a species, we seek affirmation of our sense of self by bouncing off other members of our species.  So,  we are both.
