  6. Marriage in America is depicted in two diffrent ways, by most there are still a few out there who believe diffrently , myself inculded, yet still not enough to be counted.

    Way number one...

           Something you jump into because you are afraid of the world, and afraid to face it on your own, so you enlist someone else to go along for the ride, thus being depicted as a rough journey, and thanks to tv, filled with lust, affairs, lies, hatred, and other stuff. Not that before T.V that didn't go on but it now paints a picture of a normal marriage.

    Way number 2

         It is depiced as white picked fence boy and a girl middle class surburbian pure bliss happiness.

  8. I run into too many people today that marry for the dumbest reasons. Here are some examples:

    1. Money

    2. Looks

    3. Body

    4. He bought me a huge diamond because if he hadn't I wouldn't have married him.

    5. Because my family says it's the right thing to do.

    6. s*x

    7. Career

    8. Pregnancy

    9. My dad said he'd kill him.

    10. Religion.

    11. Status. My brother is married and if I get married that'll make me cool too.

    12. I'm too lazy to make it on my own.

    13. I can't make it without them. I'm afraid to be independent.

    14. I need someone to help with bills.

    These are the most common ones I have encountered since 1986.

  9. As an event (the wedding) and something that can be escaped very easily. I am from Australia though so Im talking about celebrities, they are constantly on and off engaged, married and divorced etc.
