How is meiosis 2 similiar to mitosis??? Plz help?

2 ANSWERS


  1. - Both are forms of cell division

    - Both start with 4n

    - Both use spindle fibres

    - Both pull chromosomes to the opposite side of the cells

    - Both have prophase, metaphase, anophase and telophase

    DIFFERENCES:

    Mitosis:

    - forms 2 IDENTICAL daughter cells

    - is the division of body cells (all cells except the s*x cells)

    Meiosis:

    - Forms 4 daughter cells with half the number of chromosomes as the original cell

    - Is the cell division of s*x cells only
