the doctors gave me a due date of the 24th of sep when i count back 40weeks from there it takes me to the 19th but i never had a period then i am pretty sure last one was on the 2nd of december but midwife's are trying to say i am only 36 weeks when they measure my fundel height i am 38cm...which is ment to equal to 38weeks

on the 22nd i bleed for two days then the measurements were taken i don't no when i am due or if i conceived then.

if i conceived in jan would the measurement's be taken from there??

Now they wanna put me in for a fetal growth scan..

  1. My due date is September 18, and my LMP was Dec 3.  So, I too was told I'm due later than I expected.  I feel I'm going to have the baby early, like in a week or 2 at most.  But, I've been measuring small, but the ultrasound shows the baby is healthy and good weight.

I think you probably just ovulated a little later than you thought, and I think it's the same in my case also.  I was traveling at the time when I got pregnant, so I think that may have messed with my cycle.

  2. I am having the exact same issue!

I am due September 25th, and I am convinced my last menstrual period was in early December...but my fundal height is along par with the 35/36 week mark, so I'm just as confused as you are!

I'm just going by the date the first ultrasound gave, seems as though its all I can do!

  3. You could of ovulated late and gotten pregnant on the 24th. My due date is the same, I know I conceived on the 24th or 25th of December, which is when I would of been ovulating because my last period ended around the 10th of December. Ovulation is half-way between periods. They would of correctly gotten a due date at the first ultrasound because that is based on how developed the baby is not the size. Are you just now getting prenatal care???? The doctor would of been concerned long before 36 weeks if the measurements were too far off. After 36 weeks the only thing a baby gains is its fatty layer.
