    1 - Telephone line to house is dead

    2 - Your telephone cord is unplugged, or the jack/plug is defective.

    3 - If cordless phone, the battery is dead

    4 - If cordless base unit, base unit power adapter is disconnected, or dead, or base unit is dead.
