How is possible to connect satellite and Shaw cable in the same time throw just one cable to one TV and how?

  1. no, its not possible. the reason is that Satellite requires special decoding that a set top box provides. you are given an acess card that has the information of what channels you pay for on it, and then it decodes those channels.

    its Theoretically possible, if the TV has that particular decoder inside it. (for example a DirecTV or Dishnetwork Decoder. you can combine the two cables into 1 cable called a Diplexer, but i have never seen a TV with built in Satellite decoding.

    the normal use for a Diplexer is two temporarily combine the two cables. you use one diplexer near the sattelite dish on the roof and you combine it with the cabel feed going into your house. then at the TV end, you take the cable coming out of the wall, put the Diplexer on there and it will split it back into Cable and Satellite. the cable can go directly into the TV, and the Satelllite into the Set top box.


  2. Well, with an amp, you can plug everything and only one cable will leave the amp to go to the tv. But if you're talking about a Y cable, I don't think so. Maybe there are A-B switches out there, though.
