  1. Prime minister is elected by the members of the parliament (loksabha). The party which gets absolute majority gets their leader elected. The elected leader would submit the list of the members who support him, then the president would invite him to form the Govt (Ministry).

      President is elected by all the members of the Parliament and all the MLAs, MLCs of the state. They have separate values of their votes based on the people in their constituencies, whom they represent
