  2. Solar eclips, the moon comes exactly in between earth and sun, Lunar eclips, earth in between moon and sun and the earth's shadow is casted on moon, this is the science, this has mythology believed in hindus that Lord Krishna hided the sun by his hand, and scientists are trying to conduct research so as to find the exact date of battel of kurukshetra.

  3. As we now know that Earth revolves around the Sun and Moon around the Earth. when you see all in a horizontal plane, moon during movement comes in between Sun and Earth. So Sun light is obstructed on some part of Earth and form shadow which we call Solar Eclipse. Moon glows becoz reflecting sun's light. When Earth comes in between,Earth obstructs the sun light and forms its giant shadow where moon has no way to get sunlight ,which we call lunar Eclipse. We call them Partial or complete depending upon the location on Earth. Central  regions under shadow observe complete where as those who are at horizons see it as partial.
