How is someone considered "fun to be around?"?

Everyone says "I like to be with someone who is fun to be around." Well mostly. So what does this mean, what makes someone "fun" to be around? I mean, I like someone who doesn't care what people think and has a sense of humor, that's fun for me. But some people that I know are considered generally "fun to be around" but to me, they aren't because they are too sociable that you can't really talk to them as a person, but just as a social figure if that makes sense. I don't know.. your opinion?

Fun to be around?  This individual is a people person.  They are well-rounded, meaning abreast on all issues whether it is political, social, economical.  It impresses you that this person can relate to anyone on all levels.  They are well known and everyone knows this person where ever you go people see and comes up and talks to this person.    This individual is drawn to people and this impresses you.  They are a celebrity.

Somebody who enjoys some of the same things as you, has a positive attitude, and isn't high maintenance.  They don't put you in a position of feeling uncomfortable.  They go with the flow and offer suggestions, but are willing to go on other people's ideas, too.  They don't take things too seriously.

somebody who is not boring ??? who likes to do stupid or crazy things or who is ussually the person who allways comes up with fun ideas for things to do when your bored

and i hate when ppl try to say they dont care what ppl think cuz there liers..... everybody cares what ppl think about them
