Question:

How is spam possible in a restricted Yahoo group? Is Yahoo groups buggy?

We run a Yahoo group, in which non-members cannot post messages to the group. Becoming a member requires administrator's approval.

Still a spam mail with obscene content (from an unknown mail id) has found its way to into the group.

We, therefore, face a risk of many members quitting the group without being aware of the technical flaw that could have caused this embarrassment.

Could Yahoo please explain? How could we be ever compensated if we lose membership and suffer resultant agony and work in regaining the lost confidence?

Thanks.

generally speaking, there is no technical flaw- there'd be a valid explanation and that spammer is either a member, or there is some group setting that needs to be checked.
