How is the BIC evolution 6'10"?

is it fast? what material is it? is it a good surfboard? is it better than the BIC 6'7" Shortboard.

  1. All Bics are mass produced, machine made boards. They are manufactured the same way that sailboards (for windsurfing) are manufactured.

    They are junk boards and are the paradigm of the term 'popout'. However, of all of the junk popout boards, they have some better designs. Unfortunately, because of the materials and processes used, they don't ride anything like one might expect based on shape and size.

    Although they are fairly popular in Europe, they only good for two things: a) cheap, durable boards for beginners and b) durable rental boards.

    To specifically answer your question, it is built cheaply (although very sturdy, you could run a truck over it), and mass produced from materials that have completely different characteristics from REAL surfboards. It isn't any better or worse than the Bic 6'7" because they are both junk that will eventually delaminate and be consigned to the junk pile.

    But, if you run a shop, and and need an inexpensive board to buy in bulk, to rent, and get the longest possible service life, it is exactly what you are looking for.
