  1. My friends just got back from that cruise. It is a very nice ship, however in general Carnival isnt the nicest cruise line. Other ones are Princess and Royal Caribbean. The Mediterrean cruise is great!!!

  2. Check out  http://johnheald.wordpress.com/   It is a blog written by the cruise director of that ship.  He gives a lot of information and insight,.

  3. Go to cruisecritic.com and go to the Carnival Board. You'll find all kinds of information there. Bon voyage.

  4. We just got home yesterday. We had an amazing time but there are a few things you should know.

The itinerary was great, we went from Rome to Naples, Venice, Croatia, Sicily, Spain, and France. It was very busy (only three fun days at sea) but now we can say we have been to all these places.

We flew into to Rome 5 days early and I would recommend that, we went to all the land marks there.

As for the ship it self. It was very big, clean, and the staff and very friendly. John the cruise director is great, he is very funny and he was probably the best part of the ship.

    Cons

We had a balcony and although it was beautiful we had major issues. Everyone with balcony's we let their balcony door slam no matter what time is was. 3am or 6am. It was so loud and very irritating; we really didn't get a good night sleep in 12 days. (Although the beds are very comfy).

    Cons

-The food in the Posh dinning room (it's the formal dining), was tasty but never hot. We sat upstairs and the escalator that the employees used were very load and squeaky (it drove us nuts) they did turn it off after we complained.

-The ceaser salad was always wilted.

-The drink employee always dropped off our order after the dinner was eaten.

    - We got over charged on our room (sail and sign card). It was a bit of a hassle to rectify it. Keep all receipts and compare to your stateroom.

    - The most annoying part of the trip was the pools. There are only 3 small pools, one with a water slide, and 2 other pools. All of these pools were surrounded by misbehaved kids. Parents were no where to be found and staff did nothing to control it. We later decided to go to the stress free pool which you would thing would be adult only but oh no it was the same. On several occasions I heard guest saying things to the children but it didn't help or maybe it did for 10 min. After talking to several guest they all seemed to have the same complaint.

    - The entertainment is not very good. For the most part they use volunteers from the audience (to keep the price down). The only brought on person aboard to entertain us, he was a juggler/comedian (he was good) but then not much else compared to other cruises.

    Pros

    - Very clean ship

    - Staff was friendly

    - Beds were very comfy with nice linens

    - It’s very expensive in the Mediterranean

    - Every time we turned around the ship wanted more money, there is no freebee's here. Photos, water, pop, shuttle buses off the ship, more tip money for the materde (sp?). You are already paying $120.00 person. Plan on spending at least another $2000.00 while on board. Our sail and sign bill was over a $1000.00 and I didn't even drink because I am pregnant but I had to pay for every soda I had. Excursions or very pricey and on most ports you need one because it docks for away from the town.

I hope this is helpful, I could go on but if you want to know anything more please feel free to contact me.
