  1. Faunal Succession has to do with a stat column (layers of rock obviously if layer A is above layer B, B and whatever fossils are in it is older, its called relative age dating. Punctuated evolution is just "fast" evolution usually a million yrs or less, so a rock record can show a fast change within a specie. same for the others rocks hold the story in order from the bottom to the top layer

    just understand what a stratigraphic column is and what laws of superposition means
