  1. It's not haunted.  There are no such things as ghosts.  Surely you know this?

  2. It's not.  It was only considered haunted AFTER it was opened up as a tourist attraction.  It was never considered haunted before that. They only say it's haunted so that people will pay to visit it.  They even add theatrics and everything.  It's pretty ridiculous.

  3. i dont think its haunted.my friend said she kicked it......i didnt believe it though,so probably no.

  4. During the ship's 60-year history, the Queen Mary was the site of 49 reported deaths, so there are plenty of potential spirits to haunt its hallways. Reported hauntings include a young crewman in the engine room, swimmers in the first-class pool, a man in black, and a woman in blue. Queen Mary was called the Grey Ghost during its years as a World War II transport ship, but even now, with its service long over, the Queen Mary is still associated with ghosts: over a dozen apparitions have been reported aboard the ship.

  5. During her 70-year history, the Queen Mary was the site of at least 49 reported deaths.  In addition,  in October 1942, she was involved in a horrible accident, which could account for some of the hauntings.

Used as troop ship during World War II, she transported nearly one million servicemen across the sea.  The enemy had put a high price on her head, and on one of her jaunts, she was accompanied by the destroyer, Curacoa.  The destroyer got too close and the Queen Mary ran right into the middle of it, splitting the ship in half like a hot knife through butter. The Queen Mary sustained minimal damage to the sides and to the bow, but the destroyer quickly sank.  As a result, 330 souls were lost at sea.

Ghosts have been reported on board only after she reached California. Many areas are rumored to be haunted. Reports of hearing little children crying in the nursery room, actually used as the third-class playroom, and a mysterious splash noise in the drained first-class swimming pool are cited. In 1966, 18-year-old fireman John Pedder was crushed by a watertight door in the engine room during a drill, and his ghost is said to haunt the ship. and a ghostly dog howling at the death of its owner. This aspect of the Queen Mary has been carefully used as part of marketing the ship in recent years, much to the dismay of her maritime history supporters.[citation needed]

The Queen Mary operates daily tours with theatrics applied for dramatic effect. Guests may also pay for private paranormal investigations, and are encouraged to document their paranormal experiences, if any.  The ship also maintains a haunted maze and expands to multiple mazes during Halloween called Queen Mary's Shipwreck.

The Queen Mary has been the subject of numerous professional paranormal investigations by printed publications like Beyond Investigation Magazine , nationally televised shows like Ghost Hunters and radio's Coast to Coast AM. The UK paranormal television program, Most Haunted, investigated the ship in a special two-part episode.

Notably, paranormal-themed show The X-Files filmed a 1998 episode on the Queen Mary. The episode concerned a time warp in the Bermuda Triangle, and the ship stood in for a WWII-era boat.
