  1. I went last year with my friends in Scorpio from Bangalore to Ooty.

Bangalore-Mysore-Bandipur forest-Mudumalai forest - Ooty is the faster route.  Roads were good by  the time we visited there, we were able to reach Ooty from bangalore in 6 hours time (including the breakfast time we spent in Mysore).  Its a nice drive especially because you cross 2 forests.  Better to take some experienced driver since you'll have to climb the ooty hill with hairpin bends, so unless you're a good driver you may face difficulties.

Also many good places in Ooty is not very much known to the general public.  So if you're a nature lover, take someone who knows every good place (not famous) in Ooty.

We stayed in Sterling Resorts which was very good but expensive.

  2. Route:

    Bangalore-Mysore-Gundulpet-Bandipur-Mu...

  3. take a qualis...

  4. www.indiatourism.com

  5. The road is not too good , It has many speed breakers which causes problems at high speed .

  6. Mysore-gundulurpet-Bandipur -Mudumalai - Ooty  will be the best . you have two route from mudumalai to ooty to take care that you go in the main route as there is a shorter route is also but the road is not good so be careful at mudumalai . if you do not know which road i have to catch for ooty do ask some body at mudumallai as there is no board sign. you have lot in town hall  road and near race course and also near lake at this rate choose any one you like.
