How is the The "Colonial" & "Kantenah" Palladium Grand Resort?

Question

I'm going there at the end of December/early Jan. How is it? What should I know?

What kinds of activities are they, and what activities need to be planned ahead?

I stayed at the Riviera Grand Palladium which is 1 of 4 resort. The Grand Palladium is one big resort all four are next to each other and you can walk from one to the other. They are White Sands, Colonial , Kantennah, & Riviera. I stayed in the Junior suite in Riviera and it was great i think this is the smallest of rooms but I would'nt of thought so because of how big it was. It had HUGE jacuzzi that two people could easily get in and still have room. The shower was a Big walk in shower. We had our own balcony, refills in the mini fridge daily and not only cokes and water but beer. As far as the activities at the resort i didnt spend much time looking them over. I saw the list posted of the activites planned for the day and didnt think to much of them, most were planned for the night. They were like mini broadway shows that were not very good, also dance lessons by the pool etc. I assume you meant activites at the resort you didnt specify. As far as off resort activites you should visit Xel-Ha and or Xcaret. Overall the resort i think you'll be more than happy.
