How is the Traveling experience by train from Malaysia to singapore in day time?

Aslo let me know the Emigration procedures in both ends and how we can go from Singapore Rly station to Orchard road?

Hi,

I presumed you will board a train from Sentral KL , Malaysia to Tanjong Pagar,Singapore.

Day train is most enjoyable ride if you are not in hurry . The journey is about 5 to 6 hour. And approximately half an hour at the immigration check point.

The journey will takes you through the villages of Malacca, Negri Sembilan and Johore. Note the different house design in these villages .

I will recommend you to bring your own food too. As the train cafeteria tend to charge above market price for food and drink. But it was a very nice cafeteria minus the taste of the food.

Don't worry on the immigration procedures. When you reach the Johor Bahru station. The train personnel will inform and announced that you need to have your passport stamped.

Just follow the crowd. And when the train arrive at Woodland Station in Singapore . Again alight from the comfort of the seat and have your passport stamped by Singapore Immigration.

I will suggest you  to purchase ticket to Tanjong Pagar Station in Singapore . Because it is nearer to the Orchard Rd.

Just board the taxi to Orchard Road.

Do you need to take a train from Malaysia to Singapore. There are many coach companies that can bring you in from Malaysia. I believe coach travelling are more comfortable than the train ride. As long as your passport is in order and you have filled in the necessary documentations, going through Immigration Check-points are relatively hassle-free.

If you are still taking the train, once you have disembarked from the train and checked out of Immigration, just catch a taxi to Orchard Road. It's the easiest and most convenient way.
