Is it true they cannot be pro? I just heard this and thought it must be true, since all the truly best are not playing. If you know the rules please fill me in, but there are pros in basketball. I know I sound clueless and I am so just give me the facts please.

  1. Well, I'm not really sure about how they choose the minor leaguers that play, but MLB players don't play in it because MLB is still going during the summer.  That answer is obvious.  Basketball ISN'T going on during summer.

  2. USA Baseball NEEDS to send the pros out. Why? Because USA Baseball is USA Baseball, it should be just like USA Basketball, anything short of a gold is unacceptable because it is an AMERICAN sport! Come MLB, you should've sent the best Americans in the MLB this year to catch the Baseball Olympic's last gold medal. Which is bullshlt!!

    KEEP BASEBALL IN THE OLYMPICS!

and please, take away horse jumping, trampoline and other c**p like that where you barley break a sweat.

  3. Most of them are in college or the minors, becuase they cant send major leagres becuase they would have to pause the MLB season which would be really hard since its already snowing in the world series alot of times
