How is the believe it baby system working?

I looked this up. This is a Early literacy program developed by a father/teacher.  The assertion is that through play and interaction methods discussed in his books and videos $$$ That you can teach your child to read by 1!!  I couldn't find any samples of studies or research for this assertion so i cant offer much of an opinion.  According to his web-site he has many success stories using his methods.  Apparently he offers free conferences around the country that you can find on the believe it baby site.  I haven't heard of this at all until now and think that responses will be from  individuals not from large groups/schools. The Occam's razor is probably.....time and attention makes the impossible possible.
