The budget 2008 has been hailed as a great thing amidst allies, working women and salaried men and senior citizens.  When your inflation touches 7% plus and growth is coupled with inflation, any tax benefit given will be wiped off by the rising prices- even u pay less tax, your nett expenses remain the same and it would be an illusion that you have much cash in your hands. The debt relief measures enjoyed by the farmers deprive of their chance to get loans from the Banks as they were once defaulters in the books of the Banks.  When an economy wants to move fast towards growth, inflation gallops past the growth will result in hoarding, artificial sacrcity of commodities like rice, wheat, pulses and so on. How can one appreciate the budget 2008?
