  1. Buses are a very inexpensive way to get around town.

4/5 pesos bus fare. Bus signs are blue with a picture of a bus and the word "parada" meaning bus stop. I would ask at the front desk what are the main lines and where exactly to catch the bus.

    Enjoy)

  2. The bus system is cheap (50cent) in town, and all over the area. You just have to know which ones to get on. Routes are painted different colors and their destinations are listed on the front window.

You get on by finding a sign on a main street with a blue bus and the word "parada". Read the destination. If you are going to the hotel zone, centro (downtown), through the tunnel (tunel), it says that on the windos.

The best info if found at "www.allvallarta.com", click on information, then on bus information. They have maps and pictures of the busses.

To get off the bus, press the button marked "timbre", pull the cord, or shout "Bajan!" (ba-han!). It is like an amusement park ride, the dirvers go like h**l. Nothing beats a bus ride in Puerto Vallarta.

  3. i was there just a few weeks ago

we didn't take the bus because cabs were cheep you just have to negotiate the cost first and the front desk people will tell you what the cost should be

from talking to others that did take the bus it was reliable and inexpensive but kind of a milk run

ask at the hotel they'll know

  4. Around Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta the bus is cheep.  Never did take a bus out of the city.

  5. servicable
