   TNHB flats are not known for their quality in construction. Facilities are also minimal. Only low income individuals like govt. servants prefer these flats. Moreover they are located in odd localites(near cemetry, dumping ground, sewerage etc). Mogappair TNHB flats are located near the lake(Eri) which has a foul smell due to pollution. The resident's association also consists of people who dont agree on anything useful to the members.Therefore living in TNHB flats is difficult for decent people.
