  1. Hi! I'm a French Canadian from Montreal... The best way to learn how we are is to visit us! You are welcome. And if you want (or should I say TRY) to speak French, it will be appreciated. Montrealers are friendly people.

Call me if you want! À bientôt!

  2. Elitist, No.  But they love their culture. Easy going, love to have fun.

They enjoy their night life, and loads of cultural activities that they have.

Would appreciate seeing a bit of an effort on the part of the visitors to try to speak French.

In Montreal you tend to dress up, dine out more often, and go to bed later.

People like to talk about issues, be it world politic, or ethical questions, rather than talking about weather, or celebrities.

You will be accepted with open arms, unless you ask for it to be otherwise.

You will fall in love with it, and you wish you could stay forever.

  3. It is very nice, you'll love it.

  4. French Canadian people are wonderful, generous people without pretension. Generally the culture values fun loving, warm hearted people that value friends, family and fun - and little emphasis is place on things traditionally associated with 'French' values, such as esoteric knowledge.

The French Canadian people don't respond well to snobish people, and to wealth.

    You'll love it there.
