How is the employment situation right now?

are we at some sort of unemployment majiggy or in some recession? was the stimulus package needed and was it any good? help i need to do a research paper. i just need links to good sources.

Employment sucks. The only reason we have a 5.5% unemployment rate is because there are millions of McDonalds jobs... Jobs you cannot survive off of unless you had two jobs, but if they have two jobs, that would raise the unemployment rate.

What does that do in return? People taking loans they can't afford, and loans that take 30,40 years for some to pay. The banks don't get their money.... Now look what is happening.

We're being smashed down by some president saying everyone can buy houses... Now there are hundreds of houses and no buyers. Banks have to lower costs... What happens?

So we're stuck with crappy jobs and a bunch of debts. If the debts don't get paid, no one makes money.

Scratch that, I like my job.

You don't say what country you are from, so I'll assume Canada. Employment is still at all time highs, housing prices are at all time highs and the economy has never been better.

Different story if you are in the US though.
