How is the figure NOT trning clockwise?

I see the girl turning clockwise but i do not understand how she is anticlockwise.

it turns clockwise originally for me but i can look at it and make it turn counter clockwise if i want.

if you want to make it turn the other way, focus on the shadow of the foot and imagine it turning the opposite way. once you achieve that, look at the full figure and it should follow.

IF YOU WATCH CAREFULLY THE OUTSTRETCHED LEG IS COUNTERCLOCKWISE...BUT AT ONE POINT ITS THE RIGHT LEG WHICH IS OUTSTRETCHED AND SHE THEN TURNS CLOCKWISE

At first I saw her going Clockwise. After I closed my eyes and shook my head, she went Anti-clockwise. Your brain is just trying to make sense of the picture and picks a direction you are probably more comfortable with.

If you focus you can "see" her going both ways. Try closing one eye and stare at her and try to imagine her going the other way. If that doesn't work for you try closing the other eye and stare at her with the open eye.

It took me a while but I can see her going both ways.

I can see it going one way and when I concentrate it starts to turn the opposite way. It all depends on the way your brain works, I don't use my left or right brain predominantly, so I can see it both ways. Because you can only see it going clockwise, you use the right side of your brain more than the left. It is a very interesting illusion entirely based upon the functions of individuals brains.

I've seen this before and it is strange. I can see her going clockwise AND anticlockwise! It's an odd feeling. But I can see her going clockwise then I can see her going the other way too!

I saw her change direction twice. When I stare at her feet, it changes the direction.

That's freaky.  I can change the direction she's going by reading the definitions on the left!  If I read one set she goes one way and vice versa - wierd!
